MOTH CIRCUS @ SOSFEST 2010
Let’s make one thing perfectly clear – if you’re after a quiet night out, Moth Circus are not for you. By their own admission they have described themselves as “Pamela Anderson masturbating at a freak show ” and with that in mind they do not disappoint. There was some anticipation in the crowd at the Radcliffe Civic Halls before they came on stage as there new album, “Sideshow Sweetheart”, had only been released a few days before the gig and fans were eager to hear the new material live. From the moment they hit the stage, they had the place filled with punchy rock and metal riffs with a ‘refined punk’ edge that gripped the crowd. Their crazy antics on stage added to the performance. Drummer Glenn Asbjornsen played like there was no tomorrow and with Alien Ken, Johnny Olsen, and Tommy Richter tearing it up, the SOS-Festers loved it. All in all it they played an awesome set, well executed, which left you wanting more and musically could not be criticised. The only disappointment was that Pamela Anderson failed to show…..
