“Death of a Rock Star” is the new album from Exit State. After their debut EP, they were recieving great reviews from from other well known magazines in the industry and after an incredibly successful tour of Finland I was looking forward to finding out what i was missing. Well let’s just say the CD has been playing on repeat ever since we received it. This album has something for everyone. They have been compared to the likes of Foo Fighters and Nickelback and I can see why. The sound that Exit State produce is decieving, at first it seems like a gentle coaxing in to your system and then before you know it, they explode from the inside, out!
These Lancashire boys have created a rock and metal groove with a twist, that appeals to a wide range of people and I can see why there is such a buzz surrounding this album. The album is full of great tracks including a couple of ballads for people that need to rest from their headbanging to Exit States infectious grooves.
These guys are the real deal and at CIRCLE PIT, we believe that they are going to go on from strength to strength, pushing the envelope and continuing to improve on an already massive sound.
